Tell me what good it would be
if what you said had no truth for me
if what you say you'll surely do, is nothing that is really true
if all the things you say you've seen
are nothing that you really mean.
Oh there are few short years of youth
to learn to love and treasure truth.
And when your life is over here
and on the Earth you've left those dear,
tell me why they should remember you,
who told them much, but little true.
